Orienteering race (Glencree) 2:01:52 [4] *** 10.2 km (11:57 / km) +450m 9:47 / km
27c shoes: Inov8 MudClaw 270 1st

Pepped up on the drugs I got form the doctor (not that I think anti-acids do anything for performance), my run went pretty good.

I started cautiously so as not to aggrevate the stomach. Took a bit of time to get into the map going for 1, there was no easing in here. Followed by two loops of the hill through deep heather, so there was no hope of moving fast anyway. Caught Ray from DFO and we had a fair run working off eachother from 6 till 16. At 16 I had a bit of life in me and broke away while I could. My forest orienteering was OK.

I'm happy with my run, I went out with no expectations other than to just finish and I had a great day despite the grumbles about the terrain.

Note

Fairly uneventful visit to the doctor, nothing I didn't know already, just got some free drugs out of it.

Running race (Queen's 5K) 17:37 [4] 5.0 km (3:31 / km)
shoes: Asics Hyperspeed 3

Shouldn't have ran this, but I'd entered and thought what the hell, I'll just take it easy. Started vvvveeerrryyy slowly and just kept cranking it up. Not a bad pace considering the whole time I was very concious of what my stomach might do!

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2] 1.8 km (8:20 / km)
shoes: Asics Hyperspeed 3
