Snowshoe 6:20:00 [2]
shoes: Salomon XCR XA Pro
Control placement for the SSR, can't wait to see what routes all the teams take.
Snow was wet & heavy & ranged from 30 - 50cm in most areas. With the freeze-up expected overnight I have no clue what conditions will be like tomorrow. Best case scenario, the frozen snowpack will bear the weight of participants & won't be too icy, which would make for very speedy travel.
The course has fewer CP's than past years, but they're spread over a larger area, which opens up route choice.
Predictions:
Coed - MBR repeat
Male - tough call, very deep field, but I'll go with Foreigners
Female - Tree Huggers from V, Bash with monster fitness post C2C & Dee still hot after 2nd at Icebreaker
Masters - Inglorius Masterds (can they repeat the overall win again?)
Family - Wadd Squad
