Light up-tempo in Bronte Creek PP, nice mix of gravel road, single & double track. Had my bike tuned by Derek MacNeil (
http://bikeright.ca/) and have never ridden a smoother drivetrain in my life! No joke, even compared to brand new. This is how the chain was prepared: Step 1: place chain in an ultrasonic vibration cleaner (cool little machine). Step 2: dry in an oven to ensure there's no moisture left on the chain and so it will absorb the lube best. Step 3: apply the funkiest, weirdest smelling, but supposedly best chain lube (
http://www.chain-l.com/) (dab on each link and then let it set-in for 5 minutes). Step 4, Put the chain back on the bike and apply a small amount of degreaser (via rag) to get rid of any excess lube on the outside so as not to attract dirt. Step 5. Ride & enjoy! He applied the same attention to detail on every other moving part of the bike to ensure it will be tip-top for my upcoming race in Ecuador. If you ever want a bike cleaned/tuned/fixed whatever, he's the man!
