Run (riverhead) 1:14:00 [3]

With Carole for 30 minutes when she headed for home and I carried on for a while

Right patella tendon started giving some sharp pains on the way down the road and at various times during the run. I will need to do a few ecentric exercises to sort things out

MTB (bike park) 2:16:00 [3]

Not too bad considering yesterday's efforts. Actually, quite good.

Splattered off a structure right at the end (on Thai Massage). It was a funny up and down, up and down structure and I must have got the angle of the bike quite wrong 'cos my left pedal caught and cannoned me off the right hand side from the top of the first bit (mind you it was only ~1m off the ground). Still, I prefer to keep both wheels on the ground rather than both hands. Oh well, no damage done

Road bike (Long way home) 3:23:00 [3] 75.0 km (22.2 kph)

From Albany (got a lift with C to her work), devonport, ferry to town, hillsborough rd, green bay, titirangi rd, rosebank rd, bike path to home.

Attacked a lot of the hills (all except for the big ones), which unsurprisingly started to cause quite a lot of tiredness in the quads after a while. Back felt uncomfortable just before titirangi so decided to bail on scenic dr and headed home instead. Probably a good call 'cos the legs were feeling it.

Felt like more than 75km

MTB (Riverhead) 1:30:00 [3]

Thought I'd go for a short ride to see if the back was OK. Yep, good enough except for the drag up Zanders Rd on the way home which put a little too much pressure on it.

Tracks are in amazingly good nick - quite a few are dry and hard except for a few puddles in the ruts. Pretty much OK if you avoid where the motorbikes (and to a certain extent horses) have been recently. I've seen it much worse in summer...

Unfortunately they've felled one of my favourite areas (on right a km or so up Campbell Rd - before Long Bush Rd) and popped a couple of new roads in. There goes my nursery where I've scored quite a number of native seedlings (most of which are doing really well in the garden).

Note

Carole rubbed some linament stuff into my lower back - miracle!! I was transformed from a hunchback to an almost normal person (well, as normal as I'm likely to ever get).

Still sore but can think about doing stuff (like lawns).
