Run long 4:30:00 [3] 35.0 km (7:43 / km) shoes: Asics 1160
Put last weekends two runs together (without the extra bit up to home and back). Lots and lots of hills - the section from the Barlow Rd gate to the start of long bush was flat, everything else was pretty much up or down.
Pretty hot out there, but a bit of drizzle to start with to help keep a little cool. Carole met up with me after the first loop and we ran the second loop together.
Started to cook and wasn't feeling too flash after ~3 hours and the bar I'd eaten was trying to make a determined effort to come back up. Staggered through to the end although C had to give me a wee tow up the hill to home.
Managed ~35km and the legs didn't (quite) pack up on me so that's progress I think
Didn't start eating early enough (as was feeling quite good) so by the time I did eat it was a little too late
To domain + DS, clockwise round tracks, up mt Hobson, Mt St John, Then halfway up OTH when I called it a day
HR up in mid 150's for a lot of the run
Legs feeling OK now with only a couple of (minor) twinges in the knees. Not too sure how this works but it seems that running a bit harder makes things feel better (or maybe the niggles from the 60k are finally settling down!)
