Orienteering race (Nooitgedacht Towers) 1:20:17 [5] **** 9.92 km (8:06 / km) +340m 6:55 / km
ahr:151 26c shoes: Salomon speedcross 4

The Kaapsehoop O-Ringen weekend. Loved this map, quite technical and good climb! Had a good start, then stuffed up #4. Went to 5 first, then back to 4. Kept it together really well and was having a great run until the 3rd last control (#24). Coming down the hill from 23, I somehow went too far north (lost focus!), and only realised when I saw the fence which was the northern extent of the map. That rattled me, and then proceeded to panic (not sure why?) and stuffed up 25 and 26. Had a 5 minute lead with 3 controls to go, and then really messed it up. Alex took the win by 22 seconds. Only myself to blame. I really enjoyed that run up to #24. Nav was felling good and running strong. Just needed a bit more focus and concentration all the way to line.
