Setting out controls with Mumsey and Gord at Alafia State Park near Tampa Bay, Florida. It was hot but there was a nice breeze. Beautiful area, really enjoyed myself but I am pooped!
It must be partly due to the wretched weather but I have been dragging my butt around most afternoons. Impossible to enjoy the outdoors so a quick spin listenng to some energetic jazz helps. Good 15 minute stretch afterwards.
Good spin listening to jazz piano and afternoon TV. Flexibilty during the stretch afterwards was better than any day in the last week. The weather forecast looks unfriendly so I think I will stick to the bike for now.
Nice walk with Mumsey along the parkway bike path near sawmill creek. Very stiff to start but loosened up after 1 Km. Good stretch afterwards. It would have been a perfect temperature for mapping but it will take 2 more weeks to melt the rest of the snow.
Pleasant walk on the 5K Revelstoke loop on a mild but blustery day. Hip held out OK. Good stretch afterwards. Got home just before the heavy rain clouds moved in.
Good spin listening to jazz piano and watching The Fugitive on CC. Time flew by. Could have gone longer but it was suppertime and Mumsey was heading for the wine cellar.
Good stretch afterwards. The Niagara Sauv Blanc much appreciated. Pairs well with spicy chicken wings. : )
Over to Hogsback with Jim and Mumsey. Adductor was really stiff at first but loosened up after a few minutes. I would have thought that two days off would have made it better?!
Long walk along the canal to Carleton U. I shouldn't have gone so long. My adductor was seizing up when I turned around and only just held out as I reached home. Good stretch afterwards but no strength moves.
Gonna stay off my feet for a day and just use the bike for exercise.
Felt better today and the weather was warm so I gingerly walked the regular 5K loop. Adductor was sore but no spasms. Good stretch afterwards. I must have overworked the hip skiing on the weekend. Will try a longer walk tomorrow.
Hoped that yesterday's rest would let the hip calm down but it was worse today. Had to get some fresh air. Nearly quit after only 5 minutes with adductor spasms but shuffled along until I warmed up. Stretched afterwards but my flexibility was very poor. Not sure what has set the adductor off but it's better this evening. Will try the bike for a few days to see if I can calm things down.
Walked on the packed ski trails to pick up a couple of ski-O controls. Hip bugged me all day . Standing around for 5 hours probably didn't help. Was tired and sore when I went to bed.
Setting up controls for tomorrows ski-O. Adductor complained all the way around so I was never very realaxed. Beautiful day though and the trails were very good.
