XC Skiing 50:00 [2]

Didn't know how the hip would react to a consecutive day of skiing so I headed over to Mooneys Bay instead of a long ski in the Gats. The 2.5 Km loop was in good shape with the new snow and the weather was a comfortable -3. Really enjoyed myself, could have gone longer but will try to keep the moderate daily exercise routine going while the hip recovers.

Stationary Bike 45:00 [2]

Good spin watching the downhill at Lake Louise. Looking forward to another ski to-morrow in the milder weather. Light stretch and a few weights to round off an hour work-out.

XC Skiing 1:00:00 [2]

First ski in the Gats this season. Steady pace up parkway from P10. After 40 minutes the Adductors were getting a little testy so we turned around.
Conditions were really good for this time of year. A bit of grass showing in places but otherwise a good classic track.

Stationary Bike 30:00 [2]

A short but reasonably hard spin to test out the hip. No problem on the bike. Getting off the bike was the hardest part. 15 minutes of weights and stretches afterwards.

Note

Some snow shovelling this morning and a only bit of stretching this afternoon because the hip and adductors are still very sore. Getting into the car is a pain and I walk with a limp. It's slowly getting better. Need an Advil to get to sleep. It's the same kind of reaction as the last injection.
