Quick spin on the bike before dinner. Then I consumed twice the calories I burned. : (

XC Skiing 1:06:00 [2]

The classic tracks at Mooneys Bay were hard and a bit ragged. The little bit of new snow helped a bit but I had to stop and relax the grip. Temperature was just above freezing so pleasant enough but I was soaking wet at the end. Adductors are sore but it was fun to be back on the skis.

Ice conditions were better than expected but a dusting of snow meant keeping a watchful eye for bumps and cracks. Perfect temperature -2, and not very busy but still good for people-watching. Good stretch and strength afterwards.

Actually snowshoeing up at Nakkertok. Mapped out the new section of trail east of the power line and over to Owl cabin. Very dicey crossing some of marshes and beaver dams.

Long walk along the canal in cool but pleasant weather. Canal is still closed and the ski trails are too icy for pleasant classic skiing. We need some fresh snow now!

Fast as I could go on the Revelstoke loop with the icy roads and sidewalks.

So mild the skating was closed and XC needed klister so I opted for a walk along the canal.
