XC Skiing 1:00:00 [1]

Nice ski with Mumsey at Nakkertok. Snow was a bit thin at the chalet level but got better as we climbed up to OWL. Had planned to check out a new trail but it was very rough so we didn't try to ski that way. Met up with the trail maintenance guys working hard cleaning up the damage from the mini ice storm. We need more snow!

Snowshoeing up at Nak. North tracing the new loop on the east side. Beautiful woods, nice temperature, met up with a bunch of friends at the chalet.

XC Skiing 1:00:00 [2]

Finally! a reasonably nice ski over at Mooney's Bay. Was kinda stiff afterwards but a good stretch helped. While I was on my last short loop with the stadium lights on, a snow squall came up suddenly that was both eerie and facinating. The snow was coming down nearly horizontally and it seemed to spread the light from the sides of the stadium to fill the field area with a strong yellow haze. Driving home was treacherous with very limited visibility.

Easy spin to avoid the bitter cold outside. Need to set up the DVD player or get full cable in the basement - daytime TV is a bore.

Nice long walk to check out the canal for skating. They were working on the lake area but it's still a couple of days away from ready. Good stretch routine afterwards.
