Cycling 2:15:00 [1]
After a couple of days of spending my energy gardening, I decided to join the 1000's of other cyclists for the opening weekend of auto-free roads. Took the road downtown but then I wended my way under Wellington and through the parks along the end of the canal and back under the parliament buildings. Thousands of people were walking too.
Took every detour I could find to explore what has changed around Victoria island and ended up on the Gatineau side heading east to the museum. It was beautiful but I turned around and headed towards Aylmer. I had run along the north side of the river years ago but never past the old rail bridge. Very nice twisty path with lots of river views. Kept going to Champlain bridge and then doubled back to take the renovated Trillium trail.
Now I'm pooped!
