Walking 45:00 [1]

Leg felt better than yesterday so the walk was reasonably brisk. If the weather forecast is true I might get a couple of mapping days this week.

Walking 56:00 [1]

Walked the 5K Revelstoke loop with Mumsey. Leg/hip complained all the way around, especially at the beginning. Had to stop and stretch a bit.
But the weather was nice and the roads were dry for good footing.
Good stretch and strength afterwards. No improvement in the extension of the shoulder. Probably pushed it too hard - sore now.

Walking 30:00 [1]

Rushed due to poor scheduling so only a shortish walk was possible late in the afternoon. Then a big fat supper at Lynn's. Yikes, gotta get moving and watching the diet before it's too late.
Still not sleeping very well. The shoulder and hip and bladder wake me up 3 or 4 times a night. Back for another massage on Monday.

Stationary Bike 35:00 [2]

With the icy street conditions and limited skiing, this is the one of the most difficult seasons to get motivated for outside exercise. So last week-end I cleaned out the basement "workout" corner and set up the stationary bike "system". It was great to crank up the music on the old stereo while watching the news in closed-caption. The time really flies.
The second hard part is maintaining a consistent routine. My upper body is really feeling neglected. But filing reports here does help. Now, how much complaining about the body is necessary? I have an ongoing injury to the right rotator cuff that just won't go away. The osteoarthritis in the right hip will never go away but seems to be "on hold" right now. I just have to be careful not to overuse it!
I was happy with my weight up to a week ago (156) when Gloria started her Xmas baking. Damn fruit cake! And two birthday parties - friends joining me in the 8th decade. Bad old 160+ pounds is looming.
Don't know what I will do today (Friday) with another 5cm of slush.
Maybe I will head up to Nakkertok with the no-wax skis and check out the loop with the new snow-making system.
