Had to finish the skate-O course planning on foot. Hip wouldn't take two days in a row on skates. The canal was very busy and snow-covered so it was just fine walking along the bike path. Walked down to the ice surface a couple of times to double check a clue.
Hip was howling during the stretch routine.
Checking the skate-O map for this year's Winterlude. Started later than I had planned but it wasn't too crowded and the surface was good.
Really slow and stiff for the first 20 minutes. Then I loosened up a bit and could get into a bit if a stride between stops. The last 15 minutes was very uncomfortable with the hip really starting to hurt. Good stretch when I got home but the glutes are still complaining.
My energy level was good and I could have finished the job if my legs were up to it. Need to check the last 2.5 km to downtown before I can publish the course.
The PT workouts are focussing on the mid-body muscle groups - thighs to lats. All of which are stiff tonight. The weights are light but plenty of reps.
Did some stretching today but I still need to do more. Should have stayed at the club and done a strong set there before I left.
Feeling drowsy after the Twinrix booster shot but I dragged my butt around the neighbourhood. Good stretch afterwards. Strange week - looking for my first good nights sleep in 3 days.
Lots of upper body (lats, shoulders, pecs) weight-based exercises and the usual variety of squats. Felt good right after but now (2 hours later) I need a snooze. My PT does another body assessment next session. Yikes - diet time. I have been eating "too well" lately.
