Planned a 5k walk but I was too stiff and the calf was seizing up so I cut it short. Good stretch afterwards. Hip not too bad. Another reasonable night's sleep with the taped shoulder.
Long walk down to the canal to watch the dragon boat races on ice. They were on bobsled-like runners with 10 "paddlers" to a boat plus a drummer and steersperson. Paddles were poles with claws to grip the ice.
Kind of silly but the local dragon boat teams were out in force - 60 of them.
By 1:30 and +7C, the ice was getting so soft many of the teams could not finish the 200m course without a push.
So now I am really tired and sore after 4.5 hours on my feet. Sunburned nose too. Snooze time.
Shovelling the deck and then dragging snow off the roof onto the deck, and shovelling the deck and dragging more snow off the roof, etc.
But I was very gentle on my shoulder. I asked my Physio to do a K-tape job to help stabilize it this morning. I hope it will help me sleep. I will see how things go over the week-end and re-visit her on Tuesday.
Good stretch after the shovelling.
After a couple of very rough nights I dragged my butt over to the club for a re-scheduled session with the PT. Lots of tension stretches and low weight machine reps for the back and legs. Stretched on a mat and roller for 10 minutes after the session. Met Glo for smoothies at the health bar later.
Lots of squats, tension stretches, and hamstring curls. Then I helped Jennie move furniture to her new apartment. Approx. 25 flights of stairs carrying stuff. No sprains or strains, just early bedtime tonight.
