Stretch & Strength 45:00 [2]

Gentle movement and lots of long stretches. Hips still a bit stiff from my first skate on Thursday.

XC Skiing 1:10:00 [2]

Lovely ski with Jennie and Emil in the lower (flattish) Gats. Tracks were super. The gang was patient with me since I had to stop a few times to relax the leg.

Friday Feb 19 #

Stretch & Strength 45:00 [3]

MU class. Lots of upper body work with the dynabands.

Thursday Feb 18 #

Stretch & Strength 45:00 [2]

MU gentle class all by myself. Not nearly as much fun as working out together!

Skating - canal 41:00 [2]

First skate on the canal in 2 years on a beautiful day. Hips OK, balance Ok, right ankle a big pain. Had to stop several times to let the leg relax. Good thing they have many extra benches along the way.

Walking 35:00 [2] 3.3 km (10:36 / km)

Feeling tired today so I joined the MU class for the first 15 minutes of stretching only. Shoveled some snow too, for a bit more exercise. Need to start extending the cardio before spring and the mapping season.
The walk was the extended Coleman loop.

Stretch & Strength 45:00 [2]

Not so easy. A few moves that I couldn’t complete like a roll up. Don’t know if I will ever be able to do that one.

XC Skiing 46:00 [2]

Nice little ski with Mumsey on the SJAM on a very snowy day. Ankle really bugged me. Had to stop a few times.

Monday Feb 15 #

Stretch & Strength 45:00 [3]

Tough class on the hips and glutes. My left Adductors were bugging me last night. They feel better now after all the stretching.

Walking 1:04:00 [2] 4.5 km (14:13 / km)

Very nice walk in Ottawa south along the Rideau river for a while near the Greystone village.
