orienteering race 1:36:00 [4] 10.0 km (9:36 / km)

A great course out at SL ranch. What a wonderful day! Great terrain. Ran the long advanced course 8.2 km. Knee was fine. Just took it a little slower in places especially on the down hills. I few mistakes, the first control being one of them. Once I got into the terrain though all went well, and I spiked several of the controls. Made good decisions about when to stop and when things didn't feel right. So good to get out!

Good ride up in Nose Hill Park. Lots of hill climbing! Not too much wind. An awesome day with great views to the mountains.

A quick ride before the kids get home from school. Across Prince's Island bridge, down along path through Pearce Estates to 17th ave. Across the Deerfoot, up along the path through Max Bell. Upper single track trail. Back home on north river pathway. Pushed hard. Windy heading east.

orienteering race 36:00 [4] 5.22 km (6:54 / km)

TNT training around the Glenmore Dam, Sandy Beach. Up and down hills through the river valley. I good work out. Rolled my right ankle coming into control 7. I need to get my ankle brace out and wear it!!! Was able to continue running. Uphill is feeling better. Still tentative with the downhill running. Hit all of the controls right on.

Ran in Griffith Woods Park. Snow on the ground made it very soft and quiet. Saw 3 deer in the woods. Snowing lightly. A nice place to run. Gravel, dirt and paved paths. Felt my calves tightening.

Jumping Pound loop in Sibald Flats area. A great day. Cool and windy, but got warmed up quickly.
