Adventure Race race 5:38:00 [4] 6065.0 km (3 / km)

Wow, what a fun and challenging day! I have never been in this type of race. Mountain biking, trail running, orienteering, and rappelling on a course throughout NW Calgary. My partner, Alanna and I came 9th out of 35 teams. Neither of us had any adventure race experience. Knowing orienteering is definitely the key! I'm hooked now! When's the next race!

Tabata Interval Work 40:00 [3]

Tabata intervals. A new Wed. routine. Lots of core and upper body. I haven't recovered from Mon. yet! Thurs and Fri will be recovery days prior to Race The Rockies on Sat. I'm getting excited!

Tabata Interval Work 40:00 [4]

New month of intervals. True Tabatas, 20 sec/10 sec. 8 reps alternating between 2 different exercises. 1 minute break. Worked with kettle bells, medicine balls, free weights, tubing and of course running on the spot. A killer work out!

Mountain Biking 1:06:00 [4] 14.0 km (4:43 / km)

This is what happens when you don't get booked for any work! Why not just do all of your exercising in one day! Tried the new single track at Fish Creek. Some great trails. Very challenging hills.

Running 26:54 [4] 4.19 km (6:25 / km)
ahr:157 max:177

So why stop with biking?! A little trail run to finish it off, or finish me off. Very cold and windy by the end, but lots of fun!
