x-country ski Orienteering at Kimberley. What a great day and such awesome terrain. I knew when we ran the event at Kimberley Nordic last July that I had to come back for the ski trails! I wasn't disappointed. A fun event on a gorgeous spring like day. Started off classic but eventually switched to skating as my wax wasn't working well. Definitely climbed a few hills. Felt good to get the lungs working again. I love it here!

Down Hill skiing 3:00:00 [4]

Went back out downhill in the afternoon with the kids. They skied with Karl in the morning and were ready to hit the back diamond runs again. Found untracked powder still late in the afternoon. Sunny, warm and lots of snow. Ah, the hot tub awaits!

Weight training 50:00 [3]

Started back to the weight training. Am going to start weights x2/week and Tabatas once in light of the increased running training I am supposed to be doing! Had a little more energy today which is good. Still very congested though.

Running 1:00:00 [3] 8.5 km (7:04 / km)

Okay, I'm back. My sickness went from bad to better to really bad at the end of last week and over the weekend. Definitely a flu bug of some kind. No energy at all and aching all over. My neck does not do well with too much lying down, but when you haven't got the energy to do anything but, then I guess you just have to take it! Anyway, I finally started to feel better last evening and this morning I woke up feeling like I had a little energy! The sun came out this afternoon so I just had to get out an go for a little run. Home-Princes Island-Crowchild bridge-back home on the north side of the river. There have actually been people out skiing along the edge of the river and a few adventerous ones (stupid ones) that walked across the frozen river down by the Crowchild bridge area! Felt good to get out, but I could certainly tell that my body has been in hibernation mode!
