Thought I should put into practice what we learned today. Family is gone to Elkford, so why not run! Worked on trying to keep my elbows more bent but shoulders still relaxed. Tried to just lift foot off without pushing off and then letting foot fall back to the ground to land with a mid foot landing. Warmed up with a short walk then into an easy run. Did seven 2 min intervals with increased "lean" and thus increased pace with 2 minutes slower pace in between. Definitely can go much faster, but my heart rate is much hihger as well. I guess that is what they mean by your cardio having to catch up!

Reovery run day. Headed west from home along north side of the river path. Made the mistake of crossing at Edworthy Park and heading back on the south river pathway. I knew it would not be cleared of snow, but it hadn't been used much at all! Going was a little tough in places which gave it more of a "trail run" feel!
Warm up, stretches, rolling on roller then Functional Movement Testing. Haven't done this for a few months now. Interesting to see the improvement. scored a 19 out of a possible 21. Core stability a big area of improvement. This should translate into better running ability! I am excited to see progress.

Hill training circuit on the bluff behind the house. I good spot to work on both climbing and descending hills on trails. Snowy and slippery so a good workout for sure.
