Running race 43:00 [4] 8.0 km (5:23 / km)

Edworthy CRR Cross Country Run. Wasn't going to run, but decided last minute why not? It was a beautiful blue sky day with a light layer of snow on the ground from yesterday. Got there just in time to strip off my jacket and go! No time to get nervous. Was quite far back in the pack to start though and got caught in the "single track" where it was toug to pass. Things started to spread out a little and I was feeling okay. Then just before the big down hill where I had sprained my ankle 2 years ago, I slipped off the path and slid a few metres down the hill! Was okay and crawled out quickly and was back in the race with only 1 person passing me. The long uphill was a walk but otherwise all went well. Then, off home to get quickly ready for the football game at 2:00!

Run on the path from home to Crowchild trail and back. warmed up for 15 minutes then 4 min faster speed intervals with 2 min at slower speed. Did 4 repeats then headed for home. A good run.

shoes: Montrail Fairhaven

Ran the Rundle Riverside Trail with JP, Andree, Jen, Charlotte and Claire. Out and back trail. Varied terrian and a very pleasant, end of Oct. day. Good to get out for some trails miles before the snow flies!
