Trail race race (Chichester parkrun) 21:59 [5] 5.0 km (4:24 / km) +50m 4:11 / km
rhr:60 weight:74kg

Had no idea whether legs would be heavy from walking. Back was uncomfortable but not too worrying. Chest was looser. Weight was on but didn't feel that. Very ginger walk to start, but once I had shoes on and was warming up felt definitely lighter (?) and springier, the very feeling I've been after. Mostly, biomechanically didn't feel hampered by hips. And tightness in chest wasn't a handicap. Time was exactly the same as last time but I enjoyed the feeling of running today. And could have done more at the end. This must be the reduced wine intake. Was told I looked 'comfortable', and I felt it. Flew down the last hill.

Walk (Sussex Border Path) 6:00:00 [2] 12.0 mi (30:00 / mi)

Two cars again, only this time with keys. From Ditchling up on to the Downs, then a delightful grassy path to almost Patcham, then the Hove stinger route to Saddlescombe and Devils Dyke. And finally some of the Hedgehopper route to Mile Oak, one more orienteering area at Southwick, and journey's end at Fishersgate. Beautiful day for it, warm and sunny. Tried to keep HR below 72 all day so I'd be ok for tomorrow's run.

Walk (Sussex Border Path) 5:30:00 [2] 12.5 mi (26:24 / mi)

Left a car at Horsted Keynes then followed MSBP via Scaynes Hill and Wivelsfield to Ditchling. Where we'd left another car. Only I had forgotten the keys! So brisk walk to Hassocks, train to Haywards Heath and the 720 metrobus to East Grinsted for Horsted Keynes. Then Ditchling for car 2, then home in the dark.

Walk (Sussex Border Path) 5:00:00 [2] 10.5 mi (28:34 / mi)

Mid section. Got the Bluebell Railway from Horsted Keynes to East Grinstead, then ambled the MSBP back to HK village via Weir Wood reservoir and Sharpthorne. Then across the fields to the station and car.
