I'd have been quite happy finishing last on the Blue Men's course. I just wanted my various ailments to get me round and over the line. So I was pleased to make it and, at times, to feel that if it weren't for the niggles - especially my left heel - I might have done alright. Liked the area, although the wet wet mud everywhere and the sheer number of strollers with dogs were a nuisance. Overshot 2 because I wasn't used to the scale and couldn't make out the contour mapping under the various green screens. Missed 10, the road crossing, by miles. Couldn't read the contours again for 14. And after the second road crossing (17) my technique sort of abandoned me and I got very careless and binned another 2 minutes I needn't have done. Probably dropped about 8 mins all told. The other 10 minutes I was shy of a decent time were due to my various aches and pains. Managed to hobble back to Lu's before the rain came.
