Got another train to Havant and walked home - beside the Harbour where possible. Stopped for coffee at Emsworth, cereal bar at Prinsted, and ice cream (last of the year?) at Bosham where the sun finally came out. Not the Lakes, maybe, but certainly drier. (Langdales OMM cancelled apparently.)

Took advantage of the A285 being closed to ride the never-before-ridden-up Duncton Hill. Crossed the Downs at Cocking then followed quiet lanes from C Causeway through Ambersham and Selham to Heath End. Got a coffee and sandwich at the farm shop, then by-passed the closure on the muddy diversion past Burton Pond and Barlavington. Which just left Duncton and East Dean Hills. Faced a strong headwind on the descents which was actually appreciated. Decent cycle shorts made a big difference.

Got the train to Havant then headed out round Langstone Harbour anti-clockwise. Including Langstone and Farlington marshes, a heavy shower near Anchorage Park, the Hayling ferry at Eastney, Sinah Common, the Hayling Billy cycle path, and a coffee at the new place in South Street when I got back to Chi. A grand day out, although boot/sock combo left me with sore feet and toes.
