Orienteering 1:12:33 [4]6.7 km (10:50 / km) +240m 9:11 / km
Day 1 Event in Kent, Pond Mtn. Red course. Fun to mix it up with the top women and the guys. Several small booms, nothing huge, relocating quickly. Slow on the uphills and through the rocks but running okay overall. Love these woods. Good course, nice day to be orienteering in New England. Aggrevated foot didn't bother me running but it definitely hurt afterwards. Pleased to be just ~6 min out of the lead (in F21).

Red Day 1 - Splits

Friday Oct 24

Nordic Track 30:07 [2]
Before work. Short because I got to the end of my magazine. Stretched it out by reading the ads :-)
Also, needed some time to vacuum and otherwise do some minor cleaning before leaving for the weekend -- our realtor is holding an open house on Sunday. Yay.

Thursday Oct 23

Nordic Track 37:14 [2]
Before work. 4 days in a row -- new record?? Well it's better than not doing anything.
Came home last night to find a for sale sign in front of our house. Seems more real (and a bit sad) now.

Wednesday Oct 22

Nordic Track 37:38 [2]
Before work. Feeling better having taken some generic Sudafed (nose was running non-stop at work last night, plus sneezing and sinus headache; I was pretty miserable). Gotta love the drugs.

Tuesday Oct 21

Nordic Track 30:36 [3]
Before work. House still not on market. Hmmm...time for a different realtor??

Monday Oct 20

Nordic Track 47:30 [2]
Before work. Working an evening shift this week (11:30 - 8, which will make getting to CT Friday night interesting).

Sunday Oct 19

Trail 1:01:01 [3]
Patuxent River/Fran Uhler trails. Nadim wanted to check out control sites for his meet in December. I went along for a trail run (we went separately). Several wet areas to navigate around, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. ATVs and motorcycles were in the park; heard them before I saw them. Some new trails, a new big road, lots of downed trees...several mapping corrections. Went over to Fran Uhler and went onto the small footpath, which tends to disappear in the woods. Someone has streamered it but quit in the area where it disappears, and I had to wind my way around ponds and streams and then I found myself back on the trail. Hurt my foot orienteering on Sat, but it didn't bother me (just hurts walking!). Sunny, chilly morning, good for running.
