| Wow, hadn't done this for a while! No idea how far, as I don't know the length of The Res - but it was fun. Mostly front crawl. One fast length. Probably should get in the habit of doing fast ones more often. | ||

| Well, I heard more or less what I expected from the doctor.
It is my IT band, and it is a result of my high insteps and arches. I need custom made orthotics. I need PT. I need to ice. And I need to not run. And I need to take Naproxen, which irritates my stomach, so there is a long list of things I can't eat or drink while I am taking it. So, I have the appointment with the podiatrist, August 8th. He is head of podiatry at Mt Auburn, and worth waiting for, I'm told. I have not yet filled the prescription, wondering if ice, PT and rest might make it unnecessary. I have not made a PT appointment yet, as I have both kids all day every day, and sitting in a doctor's office is not their idea of a good time. Co-pay plus babysitting fee is not in the budget. And I am, of course, in a completely foul mood.

| With Wendy and Nadim. Took a while to warm up and then felt pretty good. Great to have such good company!
Today the injury report is: right quad tight during the first third, then loosened up again (similar to last year). Right knee hurt later in the run, and afterward (tendonitis?). Glad to have it done as it is now yucky hot and yucky humid. Yuck. Bring on fall!
