Saturday May 17

running (treadmill) 27:00 [3]
shoes: Pegasus 3 wide
Easy run. Felt fine. No soreness later either.

Friday May 16

running warm up/down (roads) 25:00 [2]
shoes: Asics 2130
Dallin neighborhood. Mid-day, which helped. Still felt a bit tired.
running hills (roads) 14:00 [5]
max:171 shoes: Asics 2130
5 times up Oakland (Dallin side). It is shorter and less steep than School Street - I decided to choose a hill I could actually PUSH up, rather than one I was merely surviving. Felt like I was actually running fast, and focused on driving arms and legs, speeding up at the top. Not bad. Pretty short though - just over a minute up.
Right leg went very tight on the last hill, and stayed tight all through the cool down. Yuck.

Wednesday May 14

running warm up/down (treadmill) 20:00 [3]
shoes: Asics 2130
Feeling tired.
running tempo (treadmill) 17:00 [4]
shoes: Asics 2130
Did it 'flat' (1%) today. It didn't help much. I am just not fast at the moment. Top speed was 6:38, but most was over 6:40.

Monday May 12

Core Strength 10:00 [1]
Arms, abs and general core stuff.
running (treadmill) 26:00 [2]
shoes: Asics 2130
Evening. Felt okay, calves a bit sore, so I guess I did run hard yesterday.

Sunday May 11

orienteering race (sprint) 18:00 [4] *
Mine Falls sprint. No errors. Just couldn't really run faster. I suppose I could have really, but it was better as a tempo run than as a race to exhaustion.
Not great training, as it was so easy, but still fun.
orienteering (sprint) 26:00 [3] *
I'm guessing at the time. Did the 3.5 km course first, with absolutely no warm up. Pretty dumb, but we needed to get Ethan and Andy around too, and someone needed to stay with Bridget.
No errors, just didn't want to get too shattered with another 3 km course to do afterward.
Wish I had worn the heart rate monitor. I suspect it was nearly tempo pace.

Today was supposed to be a long run, but there wasn't time to add on. I may run long tomorrow ... we'll see.
Core Strength (abs and arms) 5:00 [1]
