running warm up/down (treadmill) 35:00 [3]
shoes: Pegasus 3 wide
Watching the French Open Women's Final. Excellent distraction, reasonably good match (Ivanovic in straight sets). Surely tomorrow's men's final will be awesome though.
running intervals (treadmill) 15:00 [4]
(injured) shoes: Pegasus 3 wide
Fartlek. Sped up for a few minutes, then slowed, then did a hill ... and then the right leg went.

First it was the inner part of the quad, then around the outside of the knee, then the whole ITB. Yuck. Slowed down thinking it might ease off, but it didn't until I walked at the end.

It is so frustrating to feel good, strong heart, strong lungs, but have one part of one leg prevent me from doing what I want to do. Will stretch well and use the foam roller tonight ... then we'll see how it is on my longish trail run tomorrow am.

Yuck.

Note
(injured)
ITB is tight after yesterday's speed work.

Wednesday Jun 4

running warm up/down (roads) 50:00 [2]
slept:6.0 shoes: Asics 2130
AM started with Debby and David. Nice to get out with them.
running intervals (track) 12:00 [5]

Belmont Hill track. First 2 counter clockwise, last 3 clockwise.

5 x 400 with just over 1 min walk/jog rest.

Felt hard ish, but not fast. Better than I though for the first track work in ages ... and at 6 am (but with a good 30 min warm-up). Should've stretched more and done a 6th, but had to get home so that Andy could leave for work.

ITB okay during, but then right leg seized up on the way home. I am so ready for this injury to be gone. This summer I must find someone who can actually solve the problem.

Used the foam roller after, we'll see if it recovers fast.

Core Strength (pilates) 20:00 [1]
Not sure I liked this particular video. Too many exercises, not enough of each. And a little too fast sometimes, then other times too much talking.

I'll see what else the library has to offer.

Sunday Jun 1

running (roads and trails) 42:00 [3]
shoes: Asics 2130
Felt sleepy, but not slow somehow. Did some good hills.
