Nordic Skiing (classic) 2:30:00 [2]

I'm taking the time from Andy's log. We started with the kids, but then the grandparents took over and Andy and I skied more. Thin in place, but snowing the whole time, which was gorgeous. We definitely got the feel for what Autrans and Geve are like with snow ... though apparently if we had stayed a few days longer it would have been even better. Ah well. It was a fantastic trip!

I definitely am better at classic than skate :-)

Thursday Dec 31

running (trails and roads) 45:00 [2]
shoes: Trail Pegasus 3

With Dave and Pascale, up to the top of the ski jump slope! Not going to be my next sport! Then along some great trails and back through some fields - lovely.

Wednesday Dec 30

running (trail and snow) 1:30:00 [3]
shoes: Trail Pegasus 3

With Pascale, Steve and Andy in the pouring rain. Up from Autrans to the ridge, then down to Geve in the snow. Very fun until it got cold. All the skiers were in the refuge, no one was skiing!

Tuesday Dec 29

Alpine Skiing 15:00 [1]

With Ethan and Matthew. Matt doing great for his second day! Both boys did fine coming down, but struggled to stay on the lift (disc) on the way up! Didn't work my legs as much, but still a bit of exercise and fresh air!

Monday Dec 28

Alpine Skiing 40:00 [1]

Pro rated time - it felt like about a 5 mile run to my out-of-ski-shape-legs. Cold and windy high up, rainy below. It was like skiing in March, but still fun!

Sunday Dec 27

Nordic Skiing (skating!) 1:00:00 [2]

Guessing at the time. With Patrick and Pascale. Spent a lot of time focusing on not falling over. Some success, but I knew I was tired on the last lap as I started to fall more. I need a lesson!
