orienteering race (middle) 42:56 [3]

Not bad. 4-5 minutes lost over 3 controls - hesitation and two errors in the circle. Rusty, but at least in control and not making big errors (easier to control this when unfit, of course!). Much of the race was clean, which felt good. Knee just a bit tender afterward, but okay.

running warm up/down 5:00 [1]

Cardio - other (shadowing) 25:00 [1]

Tried to walk when I could, but did a fair amount of jogging, too. And of course had to hike to the start a second time! I figured I would log it as it was time on my knee (and I sweated some ;-)

Fun and fast.

Cycling (indoor) 45:00 [2]
(injured)

Reading - gotta love the large print books on the bike!

Note
(injured)

Saw the doctor today and had an x-ray. No stress fracture, but she thinks maybe a meniscus tear (had a bit of one before, but she says this might be more significant). MRI next Thursday. She said to let the pain level dictate my level of activity, but to try to avoid impact. ... So I'm going to run West Point ... but I'm telling myself that if it hurts significantly, I will walk not run. Still hoping to avoid surgery, but then again if the surgery would FIX things then it would be worth it, right?

Cycling (indoor) 40:00 [2]
(injured)

Watching 'Footloose,' having seen it recently at the high school (with lots of former students in the cast). The hair, oh the hair. What can be said?

Knee at level 2.5. Hurting much but not quite all of the time. Didn't seem to get much worse though. Ugh.

Following Bridget, who is learning to walk and read her map at the same time!
