orienteering 1:27:00 [3]
shoes: La Sportiva

Not in race mode. Error on number one (was practically standing on top of it and didn't see it). Then fine, but just no oomph, particularly when it got thick. Lost a fair amount of time extracting myself from green briar more than once. But it was still good to be in the woods. Boojum is an interesting area. I am used to mapping styles that map more of the detail, and that took some adjusting on my part - but having less on the map makes it easier to see for those of us with bad eyes. Not sure which I prefer :-)

Swimming 30:00 [2]

Swimming 20:00 [3]

Total was 2000. 1600 free, 300 kick, 100 side. Pushed harder for the last sets of free, as I realized that I was going rather slowly!

Can't ever leave this job, as I'd miss the 50m pool too much.

running (treadmill) 50:00 [3]

Felt pretty good. Thought about going to the CSU sprint, but couldn't face sitting in traffic for 40 minutes.

Cardio - other warm up/down (treadmill walking) 10:00 [1]

Giving the knee one more recovery day.

orienteering long (Billygoat) 2:10:00 [3]
shoes: La Sportiva

Celebrated Mother's Day by running the Billygoat with my good friend Peggy. Not clean navigation in the first third - foggy glasses not helping - but then solid for the rest. So fun!

It was a bit of a test, and I am still a bit afraid of the effects of longer distances and harder efforts ... but the knee is only 'normally tender' one day later. I'll need to go easy this week, but certainly no real swelling or sharp pain.
