Didn't realize until afterward how many distracting thoughts were running through my head during this race. "That was my window!" "I wonder what happened to so-and-so" "The last time I went up these steps, I had just graduated." Then I did exactly what Gail reminded me not to do before the start ... "I know where that is!" ... but of course I was totally ignoring the map, the lake, and the new building that used to be a field (on which was the control ...). Ah well, it was a fun tour of the campus. A four minute mistake on a sprint is absurd, but otherwise it was a good run. And so fun. Saw my college XC and track coach, too, so all around a good day!

Warm up and then control collecting afterward. Knee cranky, too much pavement. Also blister forming, which I will ignore.

Guessing at the time. Could remember when we started. With Wendy. Felt pretty good. Knee only hurt at the very end.

2 mile walk with family. No cardio at all - but my knees noticed it.

Water was cloudy, a little scary. Ended up doing mostly kicks.
