Saturday Jun 15 #

12 PM

Cycling 20:00 [1]

Easy spinning. Felt okay.

Strength (standing core) 10:00 [2]

This got my heart rate up more than cycling. Still no bending over, but I think I like upright core better anyway! And it works balance, too.

Friday Jun 14 #

4 PM

Cardio - other 48:00 [1]

Walking. Faster than previous days.

running 12:00 [2]

5 minutes, then more walking, then 7 minutes. Really slowly. It didn't hurt, but the portion of my nose and cheek that is numb felt extremely odd. Think I'll bike tomorrow, to avoid the jostling.

Thursday Jun 13 #

Cardio - other 25:00 [0]

Very slow walk, but had to move my body a little.

Wednesday Jun 12 #

7 PM

Strength 10:00 [1]

Standing core

Cardio - other 16:00 [1]

Extremely light cardio. Dr. said to try something very short and light. It felt okay, but I avoided anything with bouncing or bending over.

Still not allowed to blow my nose (3 more weeks!), or get any sun at all on the scar. And I keep reminding myself that the scar is the external, the internal healing is actually the slower part. And definitely I need to make sure it doesn't get bumped.

Still, externally it looks a lot less gross now that the stitches are out!

Tuesday Jun 11 #

4 PM

Cardio - other 1:23:00 [1]

Easy walking, but enough effort that it felt worth logging.

Strength 20:00 [1]

Legs - body weight and bands.

Stitches out tomorrow, and I get to ask all my questions about what I can do and should not do. Anything that involves bending over still feels like a no go at this point. (So no gardening or weeding, in addition to no planks, etc.). But maybe they'll say I can elevate my heart rate a bit more, at least.

Sunday Jun 9 #

6 PM

Cardio - other 1:00:00 [1]

Walk outside with Wendy - around Great Meadows. Peaceful. Didn't push the pace or elevate my heart rate, and it seemed to have no ill-effects.
Stitches come out Wednesday. Swelling is greatly reduced, bruising is fading, but I still have some numbness, and it hurts a lot if it get's bumped!

And report card hell is finished, finally.
