Felt the effects of running yesterday and taking the direct route to the start (75m climb in 200m...) so had no energy for this - most notable on 3-4-5.

Dudley started 2 or 3 mins ahead of me so I was encouraged to catch site of him at 7, not passing him until just under 13. "Ran" much stronger from 7 onwards.

Didn't enjoy the sheer slope descent into the final control, especially with the wet grass offering no grip. Found the run in to the finish quite a struggle - the climb on the last 50m was quite noticeable...

Looking at my GPS logs, this month I've done exactly the same distance of orienteering and same distance of "running" as I did in October last year, yet this year I've done it in three hours less time. Hopefully that means I'm getting faster...

Overall, I've now recorded as many hours on my GPS this year as I did in all of last year 85km more distance. If I'm faster than I was, it may explain why my attackpoint training hours keep going down!
