Drive to Caerleon (which is a lot harder now they've finally started repairing the collapsed bit of the main road) to get the remaining 4 squares in this part of Newport. Waited for weather to get a bit better, and mostly was ok with little wind, but rained a lot in the middle.
From amphitheatre up Lodge Hill, and then across the river to an overbridge across the road by the golf course, and ticked off a couple of streets on the way back through the town. Noted that the public footpaths through Celtic Manor are all very overgrown. Did a bit of grass to shorten the distance out/back and it was slippery - these shoes really don't have much rubber left on them so was expecting worse.
Looking at amphitheatre and barracks after the run, realise that there is a lot to Newport so whilst not what I would *choose*, a county limits travel restriction isn't the end of the world - and in a lot of ways far better than the previous 5 mile/stay at home rules.
