Running 1:24:24 [4] 16.3 km (5:11 / km) +185m 4:54 / km
slept:5.0 weight:69.8kg shoes: inov8 Roclite295 (2)

Long run in the Forest as not prepared to waste £15 having another crap run.

Hopelessly slow. Couldn't even keep 5 min ks for 2k and was about ready to give up at 3k. Nowhere near fit enough to be able to complete even 1 day of JK.

13s/k slower than I was 18 months ago and I did an extra 5km then and I was pushing just as hard today. Strangely time to 10k today 1s faster than back then (but last time I took the first 10k easily then did the last 5 flat out...) Ran until I could run (or walk) no further - luckily only a few hundred yards from the car.

Parts of Beechenhurst and Cannop look trashed. Mallards a bit better but then we know what to expect from it. Woods immediately south of Cannop decimated, in places 90-100% of trees blown down.

No garmin GPS plot because their website shit and keeps timing out the upload after about 5s. Strava works.

Note

Did some scouting out of Cinderford afterward, and because the road to Lydney was shut went via Coleford and had a short walk to the Devil's Pulpit to get a bit more sun - left knee not happy as usual after long hard surface run, particularly descending. Lack of stretching. Right ankle starting to feel a bit off walking back up from Devil's Pulpit but it's probably still feeling better than it did when I got up this morning.

slept:5.0 shoes: Saucony Powergrid Triumph 10 g

Standard run from Horfield around the golf course. Up at the front with Michael most of the way whilst all the rest cut (a lot of) corners. Fairly steady - not pushing it except for a few little stints to catch up, or at the end.

Running fairly well but the back of my right thigh feeling tight just up from the knee - has been a bit since the weekend. Need to stretch it out.
