Long run from Ledbury - round the back of Eastnor estate to Castlemorton Common, then over Malverns ridge, down into Colwall and back over Oyster Hill/Frith Wood ridges.
Patches of ice, very sticky mud, and legs that had little "go" meant pace was fairly slow today - but steady for most of the early part and over the Malverns. TBH ice wasn't actually too bad - apart from on the concrete down to British Camp.
Fog cleared just before run, and came down again after finishing - so got good views from the Herefordshire Beacon and Oyster Hill - could even see home today - seems to be a better angle to recognise it than from the topograph.
Colwall on to Oyster Hill was really sapping in the fields - 100% effort just to maintain a jog pace as so much mud getting stuck on bottom of shoes - several kilograms per field. Stopping for minutes at each stile to remove it so I'd at least get a few yards where physically able to lift my feet off ground before getting clogged up again. All the energy gone for Oyster Hill.
Better going up Frith, but path turned into a quagmire half way up, and then ended abruptly half way down. Misjudged how warm it was going to be, and how much energy required (Strava route builder said only 700m climb!) - should have taken pack of shotblocks.
Still, only got to get up to 4x this distance and 4x climb by end of April - simply multiplying up *clearly* going to achieve that in under 13 hours...

After lunch and drinking 1L, and getting home, weight below 71kg so assume have sweated out a lot from this (and last night, I suppose).
Puts me well back into contention on the January elevation challenge vs Ben - expecting to be 300m up tonight. Strava saying 8,400m elevation so far - which is pretty good given I haven't yet been more than 357m above sea level this month.
