Running - off road (MDC Hatterall) 1:31:07 [3] 12.95 km (7:02 / km) +525m 5:51 / km
slept:1.5 shoes: inov8 Mudclaw300 Blk/Gn2

Fair to say my night didn't go as expected so not as rested as I wanted, although I did at least managed a couple of hours of sleep in the car - and probably not much less than I would have had anyway. Could have been a lot worse so I've no reason to complain at all. Tiredness was showing a bit once started running uphill.

MDC remnants Marcus/Ben/Mark/Jon and me ran up Offa's Dyke from Pandy to Hatterall hill whilst a few more were walking. Quite warm but weather turned a bit shitting on the top - and was falling back a bit heading up to the trig.

Went right around the hill and onto the lump above Cwmyoy. Required a bit of bracken bashing, and found I had no grip on the wet stalks so didn't keep upright much. The lump was pretty slick too.

Ben had found a fairly direct route back from Cwmyoy so climb wasn't *too* severe and made for a nice route and got back pretty much same time as the walkers.

2 days into this marriage and Mark is 2 (mountain) runs ahead of Clare. If he keeps this up will confirm he's a changed man!

Had a 4 hr long blink once back home so guessing I was pretty tired...

Running - off road (MDC Longtown) 1:21:10 [3] 12.74 km (6:22 / km) +500m 5:20 / km
slept:4.5 shoes: inov8 Mudclaw300 Blk/Gn2

Special MDC run from Ed's farm ahead of Clare and Mark's wedding - with quite a lot of stops on the way to talk to people we found.

Fairly tough climb up the road to the fell - legs weren't really going. Of the road was still steep, but quite interesting - a little groove I've never been into.

Bit breezy on the top but sociable. The last bit of hill from brook to farm turn was a lot longer up than down!

My usual watch had dumped it's charge so was using the expensive one. Was a bit offset but suppose it's doing better than it often does.

Orienteering 4:51 [3] 0.7 km (6:56 / km) +15m 6:15 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 20

A little orienteering course after the wedding ceremony, involving a bespoke maze. Fun - and everyone enjoyed it, and generally took it quite seriously. I didn't - bit too dressed up to run hard! - so well beaten by both Clare and Mark among others. I had no trouble in the maze, but lacked Gary's style. Photos could be interesting...

Wedding overall was great - really got across their character so much better than a "conventional" wedding. Often find weddings a bit of a chore but not today. Really pleased for the new Mr and Mrs Dallimore ;-)

slept:5.0 (rest day)

Spent most of the evening in bed again - totally exhausted when I got home from work. Seem to be finding the mornings (and afternoons...) a struggle now it’s dark again.

Running 23:11 [4] 5.44 km (4:16 / km) +80m 3:58 / km
slept:5.0 shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 22 White

Meant to be a steady run but the first k was done in 4:40 so thought I'd see keep going to the bottom and see if it was worth carrying on for a quick time - so an impromptu time trial.

Despite nearly getting run over on Western Avenue took about 30s out of my PB for this route from a few weeks back - but this felt much easier, despite fighting the wind a bit.

Running 48:18 [3] 10.06 km (4:48 / km) +125m 4:31 / km
slept:4.5 shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 22 White

Steady jog out to High Cross and Rogerstone, back via Pye Corner. Legs not really working so never going to push.

Turns out overall pace wasn't too shoddy - but was a flatter run than normal.

Running intervals (FoDAC) 1:08:48 [4] 10.88 km (6:19 / km)
slept:5.0 shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 22 White

Legs still not totally recovered from last week's session so did a modified session with Cory - should have been 6x 804.6m with 3 mins rest and instead did 5x 804.6m with 402.3m jog recovery, with the efforts not taken around 10k pace.

Paces - 3:34, 3:34, 3:28, 3:31, 3:34. Felt like harder work than it should - but half the lap was quite windy. Meant was finished and warmed down before the rain came back in.
