started out with a 5min walk, then i increased the speed to 6.5mph, tried to slowly warm up for the shin splints. got around to mile 1.7 and someone stepped on my treadmill which caused it to stop. he didn't even know he did it. he was helping his wife start hers and he placed a foot on mine in order to reach some buttons. argh! i had to start all over again. oh well, call it a good warm up.

the sky was super cloudy with crazy wind today. i brought a pair of paddles and they flew off the deck at least 3 times. as i swam, i could see the palm trees swaying, flags flapping and flying, heard howling winds, all the while, water was warm and calm underneath. what a cool feeling. waited for the rain to come but it never did.
