stretched (much needed, very tight left quad and lat). worked on upper and core body, using ball and weights.

winding easy loop through neighborhoods to the santa ana river trail and back. stumbled upon the new YMCA near home, so excited! their lap pool is huge. can't wait for the schedule in feb. we can easily bike to pool from home!!

attempted to un-kink the right calf by starting really slow on the treadie, 10min/mile for about 10min, than slowly it up to 7min/mile. leg felt great torward the end.

got to the gym 15min before spin class and didn't get a spot. it was probably a good thing. tried to run on the treadmill but couldn't even keep a 10min/mile pace. right calf was destroyed from yesterday's sloppy run. walked for 15min to loosen the legs.

stretched and then worked on core and upper body strength.

didn't get the chance to download data from garmin so no elevation and heart rate data.

this was a difficult run, could not get into a rhythm. legs were sloppy and jello like. heart rate was high. had to walk 25-50 yards in between each mile after the first 2 miles to slow down heart rate. time did not include walks. argh!! why was this so hard?

back to the grind. love the new treadies at the gym. started out walking for about 5min, ran at 6.5mph for 10min, than slowly increased speed to 7.3mph. calves were a little sore from snowboarding but other than that, good overall.

good session on the spin bike. back of legs felt stiff. need to stretch!
