back and legs are very very tight.

ran barefoot on the sand. when was the last time we did this? 6 months ago? the tide was very low, lowest i've seen in a loonnnnggg time. it made for a great run on wet even sand. the miles just melted away.

SWIM (24hr metro) 45:00 [3] 0.82 mi (54:52 / mi)

swam in G's lane for the first 5min or so and then was able to get my own.

10x50 fast pace with long breaks in between
200, 500 with paddles

while G waited for Jim and Jeff to arrive, i started off without the boys knowing they would catch up in no time. STT was in perfect shape and the weather couldn't be more perfect. what a difference after spending almost a week in Charlotte sitting in meetings day after day and commuting in the freezing snow and ice.

haven't been on the bike in a long time so i was surprised to feel pretty good on the climb. balance was a bit off though. there were tons of people everywhere. G caught up shortly after the luge just as i was taking a break to eat a gu. luckily traffic thinned out a little on the remaining route to old camp. we rode together the rest of the way to the top and back.

spent most day flying to east coast, ventured into snow, and no car to go to the gym. oh well, tomorrow is new day.

felt much better on this run than the last one. found a rhythm and hung on. HR was steady. started out with a long sleeve shirt but took it off shortly after warm up and ran the rest of the way with a tank top.

haven't mtb for a long while, i miss my bike!
