tried to get a short run in before happy hour with lois and randy. my body is falling apart :o( first it's the lower back, then it's the left knee, now it's the right achilles tendon. tomorrow, i'll head over to roadrunner and get the right shoes for running.

STRENGTH (24hr metro) 15:00 [3]

upper body workout with weights

CYCLING/SPIN (24hr metro) 1:00:00 [3] 18.0 mi (18.0 mph)

didn't sweat all that much today, need to up it next time. worked on intervals.

RUN (the Y) 20:00 [3] 2.21 mi (9:03 / mi)
shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra

crazy day, realized i left the shuffle at the gym earlier today *sigh*. headed over to the backbay after work for a run but forgot the garmin. got there too late and it was dark. went over to the Y to use the tready. started with a 5min walk, ran for 20min, and walked for another 10min after. there was no pain in the left knee but it felt like i was dragging the leg along. i couldn't control it very well, was not able to lift it up, very weird feeling. took it easy and stopped after 20min. time recorded does not include walks.

STRETCH (the Y) 15:00 [3]

stretched legs after run

MOUNTAIN BIKING (whiting) 1:40:00 [3] 9.75 mi (5.9 mph) +1580ft
shoes: santa cruz blur

met up with G after work @ cook's and we rode the back side of whiting. breathing was labored initially during the first major hill climb. had to stop to catch my breath. after that, heart rate was more normal, even on the same steep grade. i guess i didn't have a proper warm up? had a lot of fun riding the single tracks on the back side.

SNOWBOARD (big sky, mt.) 2:00:00 [3]
weight:105lbs

was able to seal late checkout. squeezed in some runs before heading out to the airport. it snowed all day long, which made for perfect conditions on the slopes. saw 8 rams and 2 elk herds on the way to the airport. this place is heaven! why did it take us so long to go here?
