attempted to run with one goal in mind, to keep HR in the 140's. this exercise was much harder than i thought. the last 2 miles were unbearably slow. legs felt great. breathing was almost normal the entire run.

escorted Mo (counting coup race) up maple springs to 4 corner at her pace. she was doing well, all smiles at the bottom of motorway, didn't seem tired at all. what a gorgeous day, just the perfect temperature, and green hills everywhere... we caught up to doug near 4 corners.

hard spin class today, lots of intervals, still no fans, hot hot hot. sweat tons.

tried to run slow but could not for the life of me, keep the HR down. legs felt good, shin splints went away after first mile, breathing was easy and steady, but HR was another story. it was hot out, even at 6ish pm. ended the run with a lovely sunset.

met up with lois @ ridge park entrance. most of el moro was closed. we ended up doing an out-and-back to "i think i can". rode at lois' speed. legs felt good but HR was all over the place. what a wonderful morning ride. we were in the fog and there was hardly a soul out on the trails. ran into a bob cat, he wasn't afraid of us at all.
