Pawtuckaway - Updating the section by the far end of the big parking lot by the 'other' pavilion - beaver dam just upstream of the foot bridge has been well constructed, so the trail down towards the beach remains under 6-12" of water. Bypass trail still there, but need to push through the blueberry bushes. Trail that used to cut right (north) is pretty much impassable as the water's even deeper.
Basically mapped from scratch on a new lidar basemap. Also updating the legacy map - added a few boulders that Mikell felt were not worthy of mention way back when - I don't adhere to the same rigid standards as the Swampfox, but a couple must have grown a bit over the years, as they were rather large and prominent.

Bear Brook - walking the trail that wasn't on the map for the event back at the beginning of the month.
Discovered the map file I'd loaded onto the memory chip in my laptop was not the one that was sorta / kinda georeferenced. A couple rounds of affine transformation brought things almost in line. Will need to do a bit of stretching and adjusting to get the GPS to fall in the right places.
Wanted to also check out some of the more recent logging N of Podunk Rd, but ran out of time & energy.
