| Setting controls for the Scout Jamboree O course, pulling them at the end and some looking for wandering scouts before it got dark.
A good day at Gunstock with Pete & Lex. Not a lot of participants, mostly due to very lousy coordination at the scout council level. They put together a flyer with a map of where events were going to be, an neglected to put us on it.
Some selective sign placement by Pete, nudging the DJ to announce we existed and where to find us and good followup by a couple of scoutmasters resulted in about 16 groups going out on the White-Yellow level course. |

| Different style machine at different hotel than I normally stay at. Movement on this machine is rather different - I could feel the difference after a few minutes.
Note on following day - Definitely worked a different set of muscles than I'm used to. A bit sore and stiff. |

| Pulling controls and water stops out of the woods. Estimate on distance and climb to follow later, didn't have on my GPS arm thingy today.
Was on my feet most of the day - feeling pretty wiped out. |

| AOWN Report for today-
Roadkill count on the road from Laconia to Bow -
Racoon - 2
Skunk - 1, but smelled bad enough for a dozen or more
Moose - 1. Yup, a moose. Lying off on the left hand side of the interstate, a semi pulled off on the right. Looked like a dented fender on the truck. Moose was huge - looked to be about 3 1/2 - 4 feet high lying on its side.
In the woods at Nottingcook
Black bear - 1. Driving down a dirt road in my car to pull one of the remote water stops, crest a rise and see a big black furry butt scurrying down the trail in front of me. Seemed to be coming from the marshy area down to the left, then darted up into the woods on the right. As the water stop and the controls I were pulling were only a couple hundred meters away, listened real hard before I headed into the forest... |
