Hiking 1:00:00 [3] 2.0 mi (29:59 / mi)

Still getting over the cold I've had since Thanksgiving.

Jon and I decided we were going for a hike. Temps were in the low 20s, and there was a pretty stiff breeze.

Decided to try Red HIll, up over Eagle Cliff. Parked by the east side of Squam Lake, and almost got bowled over getting out of the car. Headed up with the wind at our backs. A dusting of snow on top of a lot of oak leaves, and then ice flowing down over some rocks. Slipped a few times, and my face started freezing.

Wind was howling as we got closer to the top of Eagle Cliff - nice views, but didn't spend a lot of time admiring it. Decided to cut things short and went down the Teedie trail and back to the car. Took 20 minutes with the heater on full blast to thaw out.

With Jon at Gunstock. Up Mt Rowe and along the ridge, then down via the trail under the Tiger Triple chair. Some snow making on some of the other slopes - but with rain forecast for tomorrow I think they'll be taking a break.
