Wandering around Hidden Valley ~ 4" of snow. Campsites are a lot more spread out than when I was there. Mix of nice open forest and some (much) thicker areas from logging, etc.

Pretty sweet conditions - the mix of snow and ice set up nicely and was well groomed. Skis were waxed for warmer than conditions. That, along with my lack of fitness, made this a nice slow ski for a nice slow ski. Need to remember when you're feeling fat and slow, go with classic skis so you can keep moving on the uphills. Got to the point a couple time today that there wasn't enough left in the tank to maintain a decent V1 on the uphills. Herringboning reinforced the feeling of sluggishness.

Quite a few folks out on the trails, a couple of them being pulled by their dog. Gunstock has been actively encouraging ski-joring, to include lessons and the specialized harnesses. Have not had any negative interactions with any 2 or 4 legged participants.

Downhill Ski 45:00 [0]

Had my downhill gear with me, so headed over and got in a couple of runs for the summit before that chair shut down. A couple of runs from the Tiger chair, but was feeling beat and chilled, so called it a day.

Found a new Mtn bike trail that someone had snowshoed in back when there was enough snow that snowshoeing didn't feel foolish.
Lots of winding back and forth, cause that's what mtn bike trails do. This section is pretty bland from a features perspective. Will have to see how obvious the trail is once the snow is gone.
