Ramblin Vewe Farm - stretching I did beforehand seemed to help with the knee. Nice single track- well banked for cruising down the steep stuff - switchbacking a lot.
Put in at the launch by the Rt 104 bridge over the Pemi. Up stream a bit, then a shower came through. Fortunately was by the bank wher there was overhanging trees, so tucked under them and stayed mostly dry. Spotted a couple of turtles sunning on logs, a few Great Blue Herons and a Great Egret a bit north of its normal range.

Wanted to explore more to the east side, but as I cut over from the blazed loop trail to an old logging trace, it began to rain and get dark, then very dark, then thunder. Turned back with a couple of short diversions, during which the wind really picked up and there was some hail mixed in with the rain. Then it eased off and the sun came back out.
