Urban Orienteering - Royal Wootton Bassett - Course B V40+/Women Open
Fun course - running speed reasonable (was beating Phil on a few legs early on - but tired a little late on) - high heart rate so was putting in the effort - a few silly mistakes and poor route choices
ok through to 6 where caught Howard Waller for around 2 minutes
6-7 didn't see small path, so ended up on main path back via no. 5 - east route was probably better any way (1 min)
9-10 - avoided the stinging nettle route, but was probably a few seconds slower (left 9 with Howard - running speed similar - and he punched 10 just before)
10-11 - didn't see gap in fence north east of control so came in from south (10 secs)
13 -14 - v poor route - went back north out of control where there was a route south I didn't see (1:30)
17 - 18 - tiring and turned down one road too early, then thought I could get out down bottom (1 min)
18 - 19 - saw gap in school fence which headed for, then realised another fence was blocking me (15 secs)
4th (3rd V40+) I think behind Phil M (38:58), Alice Leake (40:24) and Roger T (41:32)
