Saturday Aug 10 #

8 AM

Run warm up/down 8:30 [3] 1.5 km (5:40 / km)

9 AM

Run 21:14 [3] 5.0 km (4:15 / km) +28m 4:08 / km

Oxford Parkrun....

Odd two very short laps at start, which meant you had caught back markers before starting the two large laps.

Nice course ... A tad windy and taking it easyish before MTBO
11 AM

Mountain Bike O race 2:50:08 [3] 42.66 km (3:59 / km) +597m 3:44 / km
ahr:119

Chilterns MTBO Score

Not pushing it, good fun, but totally out of practice....

Went shooting passed my first checkpoint, by quite a distance and then flew passed a right turn later.... Possibly could have got a couple more

Will probably do some more come Autumn

Thursday Aug 8 #

Orienteering 59:00 [3] 12.43 mi (4:45 / mi) +70m 4:40 / mi

Cirencester Maprun

(Watch only said 11.72km - so big difference from app)

Mostly good route I think - should have left 14 until end and would probably then also have got 9. Missed 2, 9, 13 and 21

Enjoyable

Running hard - legs likely to feel it tomorrow

Wednesday Aug 7 #

Run 27:17 [3] 5.21 km (5:14 / km) +83m 4:51 / km

Lap of Stinchcombe Hill - keeping mainly to the woods (and a lot of rooty paths)

Went down the slow, narrow, rough path at the back of the golf club by mistake.... other than that bit tried to keep pace up a little to get rid of pent up energy!

Tuesday Aug 6 #

Run 53:52 [3] 9.0 km (5:59 / km) +300m 5:08 / km

Led the BOK training run from Coaley.

Across the fields to Knapp Lane and up through woods to join CW at Crwaley Hill. Down CW and up Cam Long Down, with a couple of quick downhill KM's trying to keep up with Scott and Michael back through fields from Ashmead Green.

Good route, which I think everyone enjoyed. Nine out which was more than I was expecting, with four missing the last climb up Long Down.

Good foo and beer in pub after,

Sunday Aug 4 #

Run 1:12:25 [3] 11.3 km (6:25 / km) +373m 5:30 / km
ahr:151

Steady run to suss a route for the BOK run this Tuesday.

Tried out some new footpaths from Coaley, which were all runnable, not overgrown and reasonably easy to follow (I best remember the way now!)….. nice route..... it will either be this route (minus the bit to/from my house) or up to Coaley Peak view point, along CW to Crawley Hill and back down the way I came up from Coaley….. both will include hills :-)

Probably should have got out earlier, as it was hot
