November Classic - Bramshaw Woods - Black 12.4km

Let down by my orienteering again, looking at my GPS track, 4 to 5 is just plainly embarrassing - left 4 I totally wrong direction, crossed stream south of 2 and then just got confused. Ended up relocating back on 2 and lost 7 minutes!

at 1 - too far left, 8 - drifted right after crossing semi open, 9 - was in right general area, but control was a knoll on a very shallow spur and not a lot to go on, 14 - found veg boundary OK, just couldn't find control, 19 - deliberately climbed early, but just didn't see path, so ended too high and came in from 22, 26 - very scrubby around control site and thought was heading too far east, so headed back west, but was further east!,.

Tiring after that, so silly mistakes on 28 and 29... But kept it just about going to end.

I beat Parkino 20 - 16 on matchplay, so a small comfort that running speed OK, given a few lazy weeks.

Lovely forest, so glad I did this course, despite being slaughtered.
